PHONE MASTS AND CANCER
So far two scientific papers that relate the telephony antennas with an increment of cases of cancer in their influence area exist. Both have been published in scientific “peer review” journals during the year 2004. The first of them is an Israeli study (Wolf and Wolf, 2004) that indicates an increment of the incidence of cancer in an area with a radius of 350 meters of a telephony antenna. A comparative of the relative risk of people that lived inside the afore mentioned area during more than 3 years reveals that there were 4,15 times more cases of cancer in their interior than for the complete population. The second of them is an investigation carried out in Germany (Eger et al., 2004) that finds that the risk of contracting a cancer multiplies for 3,29 in the interior area radius of 400 meters of a phone mast. Also the age of the patients with tumors was 8,5 years minor for the group of tumors and 20 years minor for people diagnosed with breast cancer in this area that in the rest of the territory. Lastly this explains that the used methodology can be applied in any part of the world.
